I have both the COSRX and SKII, I used both, and formula wise I actually disagree with you, I prefer SKII formula, cuz it feels like water, it absorbs faster than COSRX, I also layer my ingredients, so using COSRX and layer with other products like Vitamin C, and moisturizer, my face gets extra sticky; SKII can be used just like a toner, you can skip the toner step and just SKII as first step, and then I layer other products, and it feels less sticky. So formula wise COSRX is thicker and sticker, and for some skin this doesn’t allow skin to breath; results wise, i honestly think they both the same, I been using COSRX for few months and don’t really notice much improvements, and I just started SKII, I predict it won’t have much difference either. So my conclusion is this: the luxury skincare probably have some merit, not a lot of merit but some merit behind them, but the most important thing is to keep your skin hydrated and protect against sun damage. During your early 20s you should strictly stick to simple hydration without using stuffs like SKII or La Mer, cuz your skin is still young and all you need is hydration; and when you get to 30s you can start anti aging skin cares, and when you reach 40s you need to gracefully accept you are growing older, and as humans we cannot keep our skin forever youthful without surgery or outside chemical injections, so don’t spend too much money on those luxury products in your 20s, maybe spend it in your 30s or 40s, and when you pass 40s, you need to have a positive attitude and age gracefully, that’s key to good skin. (But if you have special skin conditions like acne, dermatitis, then solely focus on prescribed treatments, even less reason to spend money on these luxury products) so buy these luxury only when you are financially stable and mature enough, other than that you absolutely do not need these
